Gave bangs a try ... via finger coils.  Kinda cute!

Another day, I tried to cornrow those bangs to the side.  I flopped.  Flat twist it was.  Also cute!

Zigzag Parts to liven up an otherwise normal 'do.  ADORABLE!

Finger coils all around.  I loved how this came off and how many days it held. 

Giving parts a rest and just flat twisting two big twists front to back.  The two bows securing at the base are just over the top adorable!

Same part, pulled into piggies.  This made my day because I was able to pull the short hairs at the bottom up with the rest, proof that her hair IS growing bit by bit. I need more length to do more things! 

My only woe and grievance lately is when I take her hair down from a 'do and a whole chunk of hair comes out.  Like, falls off her head!  I don't know what causes it (not moisturized enough? pulled too tight? banded too long? was it pulled or scratched at school? should I do scalp massages to strengthen hold at the follicle? should I use a different type of band?) so I continue to muddle along trying to narrow down what I am doing wrong.  But those new short patches make it harder and harder to do her hair in ways that won't stick out or come undone.  Breakage in black girls' hair is no joke, y'all!!
