Florida Recap: Legoland Hotel!

Um, we delighted in our Legoland destination.  It's been a year in the planning and talking and wishing and hoping and it did not disappoint.

It was as fun as Disney, with less stress entirely.  Not as big or as polished as Disney, but no less short on amusement and MUCH more affordable with our Homeschool Days admission prices. The Legoland Hotel did set me on edge with its crowds and noise in the common areas, but the rooms and accommodations and proximity to the park were pretty great, so ultimately I won't even complain about that.  Two satisfied thumbs up from us, Legoland!  You really hit the spot with my crew, Josh included as much as the kids.  Ha!

Our view of the very new Legoland Hotel as we approached.  Much squealing commenced from the back seat.

In the lobby - giant minifigs from the start!

And of course, all manner of Lego creations alongside a Lego pit for the kids to play in.  There was also a playground inside that my two weren't all that keen on.  Too crazy with too many kiddos all up in there.

At our room...

We loved having separation between our space

and the kids' space.

They loved the bunk beds, the decor, and having their very own tv.

And they couldn't get to the treasure hunt within the room fast enough.  Three clues led to the combination to open the safe and get their first Lego treasures of the stay.

Our view from the room

Our view from the bed, even better!

That night we explored the grounds at the hotel, starting with the restaurant, pool, and boardwalk along the lake.

So pretty!

Legos + pool = minds blown.

Me chilling, Anna pouting, Josh consoling, Noah laughing.

At a Master Builder class the second night.  Free with hotel stay!

Also free, a giant breakfast buffet each morning which, if you don't count the crowd and congestion in the restaurant, was pretty great!  Other hotel offerings included storytime, smores on the boardwalk, building contest, minfig trading (of course!!), and smaller eating area w/bar.  Also, the elevators played disco music after the doors shut, complete with disco ball, dancing lights, and bubble mat flooring.  Anna never missed a chance to boogie on down in there no matter who else was in the elevator with us. :} I would have taken pics of these moments except for that fact that it was so stinking congested .... in the elevators especially. Oh well.

Next up, Legoland itself!

  2. Right?! It was funny how little swimming Anna did. Kept getting pulled into the Lego world. Just something about those little interlocking bricks. :}
