What IS it that makes babies throw those feet up in the air every time they are on their backs? So funny to me. Here, we had just brushed her hair and it was all POOF and I was all OMIGOODNESS, WHAT HAVE I DONE? So we whipped out a headband and Voila! It was back under control. Kimmie's got this!
How can your day not be bright when this sweet thing stares you down?!?! I hate that her momma is missing all these moments.
We {finally} got some bedding in the crib. She is not ready to sleep in it yet, but we are trying it out a little at a time. She is doing MUCH better laying on her back without spewing and choking on spit up. That's a start!
I crocheted her a hat. She loves it. :}
Got her a little jumperoo thing. It's early for it, but it gives her a new vantage point from which to watch the world every so often. Her tiny feet are precious dangling under it, nowhere near the floor. And we have to stuff a blanket in front of her in the seat to keep her upright. She is worn the heck out when we take her back out. Holding up her head is exhausting work!
Anna has become much more interested in Lasa lately. She asks to hold her, plays with her, reads to hear, talks to her, helps bathe her, and even fed her today.
Fun bathtime tidbit, Lasa licks those lips like nobody's business the whole time. Water is great!
In other news, Lasa's momma signed another month's IPA for baby to stay with us and she is supposed to be checking into another rehab program tomorrow so it will be a month before we see her again at least. After that is her court date in November and we should have more formalized placement and plans going forward. Sooo wondering where this is going. So enjoying the ride every day with Baby til then. ♥
So happy to hear that things are going well and that Lasa is staying put for awhile and you have a bit of normal to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it must be hard to enjoy her so much all the while hating that her momma is missing out. Fostering is not for the faint of heart. Parenting isn't either I suppose.
Truth!
