At Emily's

We were supposed to see Emily and the gang back in March, but that visit had to be cancelled when we took on our first foster placement instead.  Missing that trip and time with family STUNG.  So it goes without saying that we were chomping at the bit to get together with my sister and the cousins again at the tail end of June.  We couldn't get outta town - and through ATL traffic - fast enough!

We made it to Warner Robins by dinner time Friday and had nothing but family and five days to play, so play we did!  See here....

Swimming happened asap.

Chilling and chatting porchside followed soon after.

Lee and the girls introduced Josh and my crew to a great new board game - Castle Panic!

Other diversions included rocket balloons,

Tinker,

video games,

a certain 4 year-old nephew and his grin,

silly photo ops,

LEGOS,

bible study,

skating,

storm tracking,

more swimming,

swimming stunts,

and firm talking-to's after little girl temper tantrums.

Emily and I grabbed a few school supplies and the let the kids personalize their new clipboards.  I counseled Emily all the while, who was twitching at the lack of order in their chosen decor. Ha!

The boys couldn't have cared less about decorating.  Lego Minotaurs it was!

You know me and my cloud thing.

Another day, another swim.  This day brought out the chicken fights!

Church!

Rigby's for skating with a quick jet out to Sonic for lunch in the middle.

Surprise, surprise - more swimming! I believe Marco Polo was the main attraction this day.

Road trip to Macon to visit Emily's first teacher store after playing at North Peach Park and Splash Pad.  Cannot believe we didn't take pics of that outing?!

Playing store with some play money Natalie and I bought at said teacher store!  I was so amused at how many hours the kiddos did this - setting up, making signs, playing, fighting, and back to playing.

Sky watching for a glimpse of the the Star of Bethlehem - aka, Venus and Jupiter lining up.

Noah was BEAT this day and went to bed early, but Anna stayed up to look with me.

Clouds blocked our view most of the night, but we had a handy app on my phone that showed us where they were in the sky regardless.

Later on that night, I was just barely able to see the orange light of the two planets, but Anna was long gone by then. It was so far by then, there would be no pics of it, so I snapped the moon view instead. :}

Josh wrapped up his convention in ATL Wednesday and hurried down to pick us up on our way to the beach that day!  We hugged cousins and all and waved all the way out the driveway and are seriously already counting down til September when they come to Nashville again.  Excited!
