How lucky are we that Noah will not only still get to enjoy a field day as a homeschooler, but he will get to have TWO of them?! Our homeschool group is having one later this week. And last Thursday, Noah got to participate in another one at his co-op, Anchored Enrichment. Just look at how many fellow homeschoolers Noah gets to see each week. So blessed!
Noah competed against the rest of his 2nd/3rd grade class and had such a blast. :D It was the perfect day! Enjoy the highlight reel of the many sweet moments I got to watch Noah take in...
As we near the end of our first year of homeschooling, I can't stop grinning at how sweet it has been. Days like these also make me grin in such gratitude for the support we have built-in by such a big community of homeschoolers in our area. So thankful!
What FUN! And a HUGE GROUP you are a part of. That sure helps you start your first year in homeschooling. You've done well. and Noah seems to have done amazingly well this year too. Growing up little guy!
ReplyDeleteIt IS a huge group ... and this is only one chunk of all the homeschoolers we know...the ones who do this co-op. Others are in other co-op groups and curriculum groups etc. It is really encouraging to have so many within reach.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how easy it to pull your kid out of school…all it is in GA is a letter submission (via website) saying you are withdrawing your kid, and have a curriculum, or something. Then they leave you alone entirely as long as you test every 3 years via a standardized test. Pretty neat stuff. OH and 180 school days. But they don't' state how many hours.
ReplyDeleteInteresting…. :)
I take that back…you also have to summit a "progress report" letter at the end of each year.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's where they catch you if you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing.
