Early Easter

This past weekend, on a beautiful Saturday morning, the mailman dropped a box of goodies right on our front porch addressed to Noah and Anna from the sweetest Memaw and Papa around.  There was such a fun energy in the room as the kids unpacked each item and squealed with delight and surprise.

Noah adores his new wind-up chicken that lays bubble gum eggs as it walks. When he first saw it, he thought it was hilarious that it was pooping.  I had to burst his bubble on that one.  Ha!

Anna had fun making sticker faces for Easter characters with one kit and coloring on fuzzy activity pages in another.

Hooray - the chocolate cross was peanut-free ... and gobbled in less than an hour.  Anna dug into jellybeans that came in water guns.  Sugar rush, anyone?

The kids hopped on the phone right away to thank Memaw and tell her how much they liked all the surprises."Memaw is just so fotful (thoughtful), " Anna kept declaring.  And I agreed. ♥

Next up on the Easter season agenda - a repeat of last year's holiday trip by heading south to my sister's for a long weekend next week. :)

  1. Fun fact:

Chicken lay eggs out of the same hole they poop.

    True fact.

  2. PS. Anna and Natalie's hair seem quite similar in that hair always falls into their faces…Why does that happen? Brooklyn's doesn't ever do that. Ever.

  3. No way! Seriously! I so have to tell Noah that one. He will giggle hard at the news.

  4. As for the hair, yes! She doesn't even seem to notice it and definitely doesn't care. If it is ever OUT of her face, it is all MY doing. :/
