It's actually just one hat through the years, with this 5 year being the last in the sequence. I can't believe we've made it through the whole montage of number tags and actually remembered to follow through with taking each picture each year!
You know, around the time Anna came was the time when Noah really resisted putting on that hat at all, so I cut my losses and didn't commit her to the tradition. So no, no hat for Anna.
And there is no way I could make a cake like that. I mess up frozen pizza! We ordered it from a cookie/cake place. You would be amazed how HEAVY that thing was. My dad, who was holding it in the car, couldn't stop commenting on it. :) I guess fondant isn't as light at is tastes.
Not velcro - that was have been to helpful. They attach by a sticky glue strip ... it was torture to get the numbers off each year they were stuck on so tight.
I love all the birthday hats!

ReplyDeleteThat hat was such a cute idea. Does Anna have a hat too? The star wars cake is awesome! Did you make it?

I didn't realize you did the samehat every year?! What a cute idea to catch the years!
ReplyDeleteI was curious about the hat too, but suspected that it might be just one hat. :) Was it velcro numbers?
